Aston Villa have high hopes for young talent Kaine Kesler Hayden – so much so that Steven Gerrard is excited to work with him this summer.
That’s according to the Birmingham Mail, who claim that Gerrard has been ‘blown away’ by Kesler Hayden.
Gerrard watched Kesler Hayden in action on loan at Swindon Town earlier this season and particularly loved his display against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Kesler Hayden’s loan was ended in January, allowing him to move to League One side MK Dons to build up his experience.
The 19-year-old is so exciting that Gerrard can’t wait to work with him this summer, meaning he could be utilised in the first-team squad next season.
Matty Cash is Villa’s undoubted first-choice right back and is thriving right now whilst Calum Chambers can play there too.
Yet with Kesler Hayden already bagging one goal and one assist in five MK Dons games, he is showing his huge potential for the future.
Born in Birmingham and a part of the Villa youth ranks throughout his career, Kesler Hayden also has three appearances for the England Under-20’s.

Quick, attack-minded and skilful for a right back, Kesler Hayden fits the modern-day mould of a full back and has been praised for having ‘pace to burn’.
There is bound to be Championship loan interest for Kesler Hayden, but Gerrard may have even bigger plans for him next season.
When you add in that Cameron Archer and Jaden Philogene-Bidace are also thriving out on loan at Preston and Stoke City respectively, Villa look to have some incredibly exciting talents.
Kesler Hayden may just be cutting his teeth in League One right now, but don’t be surprised to see him shine in claret and blue next season.
