Aston Villa starlet Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has signed his first professional contract with the club, as confirmed on avfc.co.uk.
The young striker – who turned 17 on Saturday – is one of the highest-rated prospects at the club and has already made his senior debut.
He came on in place of Christian Benteke in last season’s 4-0 win at Sunderland for his sole Villa appearance, becoming the second youngest player in the club’s history – at 16 years and 176 days – in the process.
The academy product has been with the Villans since the age of nine and has represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 age groups.
Villa will be delighted to have secured his services, for the near future at least, with a two-year deal keeping him at the club until he’s 19.
Hepburn-Murphy finished last season as joint top scorer in the Villa youth team and hopes of a first-team breakthrough will be high over the next few years.
