“Against Norwich we had a bad game. The team did not play well, the whole team. But this weekend we were better and we won. Newcastle and Brighton are doing well and lots of teams at the top end of the table are going on winning runs and hopefully we can do the same.”
The Midlands outfit now sit in 13th position in the Championship table, six points adrift of sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday, and will be looking for a return of maximum points from their fixtures against Burton Albion, Leeds United and Cardiff City over the festive period.

Bruce’s positive influence on the Villa side has been plain for all to see, with Kodjia’s performances being the perfect example of this.
The Ivory Coast international has scored seven of his eight league goals since the former Hull City boss arrived at Villa Park, and Bruce will be hoping that his impeding participation at the African Cup of Nations doesn’t have to much of an adverse effect on his side’s ability to win games.
