Villa paid £8 million to sign Chester from West Bromwich Albion in 2016, and he has established himself as a regular in their side.
Last night against Leeds he was brilliant, and shut out lively striker Caleb Ekuban.
Chester’s solid defending paid off as Leeds grew tired, and Villa’s midfield got back into the game.

Chester made 10 clearances, while also winning the ball back for his side on 10 separate occasions.
He blocked one direct shot at goal and was effective in possession, completing 84 per cent of his passes.
The 28-year-old Wales international has now made 20 starting appearances for the Villans this season in the Championship, an ever present in Steve Bruce’s starting line-up.
The fee the club paid for him looks good value, and if Villa do go on and win promotion, Chester will have played a big part.
