Matt Targett has told talkSPORT that Liverpool winger Mo Salah is ‘quite difficult’ to mark.
The Aston Villa left-back shared that Liverpool’s light-footed speedster is ‘actually quite strong’ even though he is a ‘small guy’.
Whilst Liverpool have been enduring a nightmare Premier League title defence, Salah has still managed to find himself top of the goalscoring charts heading into the final few months of the season.
Targett, who has been one of Aston Villa’s most improved players this season, shared what it’s like coming up against one of the Premier League’s best.
“Every game is different,” said Targett. “One game you are playing against Mo Salah. He loves to run in-behind and loves to be a goal threat.
“He’s really strong you know for a small guy. He’s actually really strong and it’s actually quite difficult marking him.”

Well, the last time Targett faced off against Salah was during that famous or infamous game at Villa Park in October.
Salah actually netted a brace on the day, only for his own team to concede a remarkable seven.
Many Liverpool supporters would have felt that was the low point of the season and things were only going to look up, well that has been proven wrong as the champions are now at risk of losing out on finishing in a European place altogether.
