Aston Villa are likely to lose Carles Gil but the issue is for how much?
Aston Villa’s Carles Gil
According to Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo, Carles Gil is determined to land a cut price move to Real Betis.
Gil spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna and a return to Spain appears inevitable for the 24-year-old.
The problem is that so far Real Betis and Aston Villa are yet to agree a fee.

Estadio Deportivo write that Villa want 4.5 million Euros for the services of the former Spain under-21 international.
This is a figure Gil’s representatives believe is too high and will be beyond Betis.
Gil’s agent is hopeful Villa will agree to sell for 2 million Euros (£1.75m) and is hopeful the fee can be negotiated down towards this figure, Estadio Deportivo report.

Convincing Villa to cash in on the cheap is unlikely to be easy despite Gil’s desire to move on.
Their transfer business this summer is being restricted by a need to comply with financial fair play regulations and this means selling at knock down prices has to be avoided where it can.
