Aston Villa are reportedly looking at signing Tom Heaton from Burnley.
Tom Heaton would be an excellent addition to Aston Villa’s squad, if they do manage to sign him.
The Daily Express has suggested that Villa are likely to sign Heaton from Burnley.
And if Dean Smith does add him to the Villans squad, he could be a brilliant addition.
Heaton has fallen out of favour at Burnley, but he has been superb in the Premier League in the past.
Heaton was even in the England squad before injury struck, and if Villa could bring him in, he would immediately be one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship.
Villa’s current stopper Orjan Nyland has been one of the weak points in their team this term.
Nyland has shown signs of promise, but he has not been the most reliable goalkeeper.
And, as the pressure mounts over the second half of the campaign, Heaton could be a major upgrade.
Heaton would offer Villa a real steadiness at the back, and his arrival would surely boost Smith’s side’s chances of promotion.
