Aston Villa are said to be keen to snap up Adam Reach from Steve Bruce’s Sheffield Wednesday side.

If Aston Villa were able to bring in Adam Reach from Sheffield Wednesday he would be a stunning addition to their squad, but surely there is no chance of a deal happening.

The Daily Star (page 45, January 8th) have reported how Villa are keen to do business with Wednesday for Reach at around the £10 million mark.

However, any deal is complicated as Steve Bruce is now in charge of Wednesday.

The Owls are surely not going to even contemplate selling their star player to Bruce’s former side, just weeks after his appointment was announced.

Wednesday would be sending out the wrong message by offloading Reach to their players and their new manager.

Reach would unquestionably be an exciting addition to Villa’s squad, as he has a great ability to score from long-range and would significantly increase Dean Smith’s side’s attacking threat.

But Villa are being extremely optimistic by chasing a deal which surely isn’t going to happen any time soon.
