Ipswich Town’s Jonas Knudsen should be a potential option for Aston Villa.

According to a recent report in the Express and Star, Aston Villa are still chasing two more players this month, a new central midfielder and more importantly a left-back.
34-year-old Alan Hutton, who is predominantly a right-back, has had to fill in on the left side of defence several times this season.
Villa have conceded a whopping 45 goals this season. Only two Championship sides have conceded more.
Scoring hasn’t been a problem, but manager Dean Smith needs to rectify his side’s defensive frailties this month if Villa stand any chance of making the playoffs and Ipswich Town’s Jonas Knudsen could be an option.
The 26-year-old’s contract at Ipswich expires in the summer and a recent report in the East Anglian Daily Times suggests Knudsen is keen to leave Portman Road.
The Denmark international is a decent player and fared well at the World Cup in Russia last summer. This season, he has started 22 games for the struggling Tractor Boys.

Ipswich boss Paul Lambert has planned for his possible exit by already bringing in another left-back in Callum Elder, the 23-tear-old joining the Tractor Boys on loan from Leicester City.
Knudsen joined Ipswich for just £300,000 back in 2015, and with his contract expiring in the summer it’s unlikely the Suffolk Club would demand a big fee for a player they are set to lose for nothing in six months.
Villa would solve their immediate problem by bringing in a solid natural left-back, and in the summer they could then pursue a more long-term signing to provide further squad depth.
