Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is under serious pressure at Villa Park currently.
Aston Villa should consider Oscar Garcia as their next manager to replace Steve Bruce.
Villa actually thought about putting Garcia in charge last season, according to the Birmingham Mail.
On that occasion Bruce saved his job, after a revival in their form, following a poor start.
However, Bruce’s challenge to win Villa supporters around looks even tougher this time around, and it may well be that the time for change has come.
And if Villa do part company with Bruce then they would be wise to look at Garcia.
The Spaniard is a far more progressive coach than Bruce, and the fluidity of his system could suit their more creative players.
The likes of Jack Grealish, Yannick Bolasie, Anwar El Ghazi and John McGinn would all surely thrive in a formation which put more of a precedence on keeping possession.
Bruce is not afraid to mix up the play and although he has had success with that style in the past, there has to be question marks over whether it is bringing the best out of Villa’s squad.
Garcia, on the other hand, would encourage Villa’s players to have more creative freedom in the final third.
The 45-year-old has previously had great success with Brighton in English football, and he has since impressed as manager of Salzburg.
Villa should now seriously consider Garcia, as even though he doesn’t have the same track record of success in the Championship as Bruce, he could be the perfect man to take their squad forward.
