Aston Villa have been linked with the Huddersfield Town defender in recent days.
Aston Villa should move on from Terence Kongolo now, amid reports that they would have to pay £25 million for the Huddersfield Town defender.
According to The Mirror (19 June, page 48), Huddersfield want a huge fee for Kongolo, which would break Villa’s transfer record.
Dean Smith’s side should now walk away from the transfer, as they have far better offers on the table.
Villa are known to want to strengthen at centre-back, but bringing back Axel Tuanzebe and Tyrone Mings looks a way better idea.
The Daily Mail have suggested that Villa might be able to sign Tuanzebe for £8 million, while Mings is a £15 million target according to the Birmingham Mail.
It means that Villa could get both Tuanzebe and Mings for cheaper than Kongolo.
And that double deal is surely far more appealing to Dean Smith’s side than paying way over the odds for the Huddersfield Town man.
