Glasgow Rangers defender Lee Wallace is out of contract at Ibrox in the summer of 2019, and Aston Villa should make a move.
Lee Wallace of Rangers
According to The Mirror, Aston Villa manager Dean Smith wants cover at left-back, and Rangers defender Lee Wallace should be on the radar of the Villans.
Wallace is struggling for playing time at Rangers, and it is hard to see the 31-year-old left-back establishing himself in Steven Gerrard’s first team anytime soon.
The Scotland international has been on the books of Rangers since the summer of 2011 when he joined from Heart of Midlothian for a transfer fee reported by The Scotsman to be worth £1.5 million.
Wallace is out of contract at Rangers in the summer of 2019, according to Transfermarkt.com, and the Gers could be open to letting the left-back leave in the January transfer window.

True, central defender Kortney Hause, signed on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, can fill in at left-back, but Wallace is a specialist in that position.
The Scotland international has been a success at Rangers over the years, and it will not be a bad idea for Villa to make a loan move for the 31-year-old, who is a leader at the back, is hugely experienced and will be an able back-up to Neil Taylor.
