Aston Villa should attempt to sign Kelechi Iheanacho from Leicester City in the January transfer window.

Villa are in urgent need of a striker, and Villa boss Steve Bruce has already confirmed that he feels the loan market is his best option.

Villa are battling against Financial Fair Play, and do not have the budget to spend lavishly on a new forward.

Villa are now assessing their options in the Premier League, and a move for Iheanacho could suit all parties.

Iheanacho was expected to make a big impact at Leicester City, when he signed from Manchester City during the summer transfer window, in a transfer worth £25 million according to The Sun.

However, the youngster has struggled to score at the King Power Stadium.

Iheanacho has looked off the pace throughout his time with Leicester, and Claude Puel has already admitted the striker is not in his immediate first-team plans.

Leicester are unlikely to want such a talented prospect to just have reserve football to play and, therefore, a move to Villa could suit everyone involved.

Not only Iheanacho could gain regular first-team action at Villa Park, but Bruce’s side would have the clinical finisher that they have been craving, since Jonathan Kodjia was ruled out with injury.
