Aston Villa are lacking in creativity following Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Birmingham.

Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw against Midlands rivals Birmingham City on Sunday afternoon highlighted a lack of creativity as they failed to find the back of the net once again.
Steve Bruce’s side drew blanks for the sixth time in all competitions this season, scoring only 19 goals in 14 Championship outings as the likes of Scott Hogan, Jonathan Kodjia and Gabriel Agbonlahor continue to feed off scraps.
Tottenham loanee Josh Onomah has failed to hit the heights required of him, while West Ham ace Robert Snodgrass looks a shadow of the player that saw him set the Premier League alight with Hull City last season.
The ability to unlock a defence and set Villa’s forwards free seems to be an impossibility at the moment, and luring a playmaker to Villa Park in January should be at the top of Bruce’s agenda.

Possible recruits should be being drawn up as of now by Bruce after painstakingly watch his side fluff their chances in front of goal, and Manchester City’s Phil Foden would be the perfect addition to his Villa side.
Bruce’s son Alex told BBC Radio 5 Live that the 17-year-old ace needs to join a Championship club, after his exploits at the Under-17 World Cup in India helped England lift the winners’ trophy.
“He should go to League One or the Championship if he gets the opportunity,” Bruce said. “Go and test himself against men, it’s a totally different style of football.”
Foden scored twice in the final against Spain as the Young Lions earned a 5-2 victory to be crowned World champions, before showing off the Player of the Tournament award after the match.

His sparkling displays come as no surprise. Throughout pre-season, Foden was involved in almost every single one of Man City’s friendlies as they tackled some of Europe’s best in Real Madrid, Manchester United and Tottenham.
Possessing an impeccable first touch, Foden plays at a level way beyond his years with a footballing intelligence unparalleled by some of the most experienced in the Premier League.
An eye for goal, immeasurable levels of skill as well as a degree of pace to his game, Foden holds all the characteristics currently lacking from Bruce’s side.
