Should Aston Villa rival Birmingham City for Robbie Keane?
Sky Sports claimed last week that Premier League legend Robbie Keane is “interested” in joining Harry Redknapp at Birmimgham City.
The 37-year-old hitman played under Redknapp at Tottenham Hotpsur and perhaps a reunion between the two is in the offing.
But if the Irishman is open to a move to the Championship then Aston Villa should consider hijacking their local rivals’ interest in the veteran.

Keane, who only turned 37 on Saturday, is a free agent following a five-year spell at Los Angeles Galaxy, which yielded 83 goals in 125 MLS appearances.
Of course, being a prolific goalscorer stateside means precisely nothing when it comes to the Championship obviously, but this is a man with 126 Premier League goals under his belt.
He could and would have an impact at Aston Villa as Steve Bruce’s side look to win promotion back to the Premier League next season.
Aside from Jonathan Kodjia, Aston Villa do not have many tried-and-tested goalscorers in the squad and that would undoubtedly hold them back in their quest for the top flight.
At his age, Keane, who scored three goals in six league games for the Villans during a brief loan spell in 2012, is bound to have lost a bit of pace and agility, but speed was never a major asset and he still has plenty of non-perishable qualities which could make him an asset.
Aston Villa have already beaten Birmingham to one signing following the arrival of John Terry, and Bruce should look to repeat that feat with Keane.
