Reported Aston Villa target, Emile Smith Rowe, once claimed that he ‘looks up to’ Jack Grealish.
The Arsenal academy product, who enjoyed a breakthrough campaign this season, has seen his name linked with those at Villa Park.
The Telegraph reported that Villa have shown interest in signing the Arsenal 20-year-old, as Dean Smith looks to bulk-up his forward areas.
And whilst it would be a surprise if Arsenal do let the player go, he has already made his feelings clear about Grealish.
Speaking to ex-midfielder, Jamie Redknapp for the Daily Mail, he expressed how he appreciates Grealish’s ball-carrying ability.
“Jack Grealish, too,” said Smith Rowe. “He’s so good, man. I look up to him.
“The way he is with the ball. The way he scores, assists and creates, he’s so good. Bukayo tells me he’s a great guy, too.”

Villa may just seemingly beaten Arsenal to the signature of Emi Buendia, but it would cause utter chaos in North London if Smith Rowe is sold to them, or anywhere else for that matter.
The quick-thinking creator was one of Arsenal’s best players this season and that means a lot for their fans because of the abject season that the whole team just produced.
Plus, with Villa closing in on Buendia, Smith Rowe might just be a name on a list of creative talents that they were looking for this summer.
But given Villa’s financial power, it shouldn’t be ruled out that those in B6 push for another creative attacking talent, other than Buendia, whether it’s Smith Rowe or someone else.
