Aston Villa and Bologna reportedly want Daniel Sturridge.

Earlier this month, The Sun claimed of Aston Villa’s interest in Daniel Sturridge, who is a free agent at the moment following his departure from Liverpool at the end of last season.
It was reported by the British tabloid that Villa were hoping to come up with a package that will be tempting for the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker.
However, it seems that the Villans have competition from Italy for the service of the England international.
Competition for Aston Villa
According to The Sunday People (print edition, page 51, July 14, 2019), Bologna in Serie A have asked about Sturridge’s plan regarding his future.
The problem for the Rossoblu is that they may not afford to pay the £120,000-per-week salary the striker was earning at Liverpool, according to the report.

Risky signing
Sturridge may be a free signing, but his wages and his injury record should be something that Villa should note.
The Englishman has struggled with injury issues in recent years, and he would be a risky signing for the Villans in the summer transfer window.
