Aston Villa are searching for a new manager, and they have been linked with a raid for Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Villa sacked boss Dean Smith on Sunday, less than 48 hours after losing 1-0 to Southampton on the Friday night.
That made it five defeats in a row for Villa, and Smith has paid the price for that poor form with his job.
Villa will now use the international break to try and find a replacement, with a host of names being linked.
The Telegraph claim that one contender for the job is Southampton’s Hasenhuttl – the man who beat Smith on Friday.
Southampton surely wouldn’t want Hasenhuttl to leave, but Villa are in a better financial position and appear a little more ambitious right now.

Southampton fans react to Villa wanting Hasenhuttl
Southampton fans are all too used to losing managers and players, but they seemingly don’t think Hasenhuttl is heading for Villa.
Some think Villa actually have a better chance of landing Antonio Conte, who just took over at Tottenham Hotspur.
Others think there is no way Hasenhuttl leaves for Villa this season, noting that he loves Southampton.
There were also a few tweets suggesting that Villa would be a downgrade for Hasenhuttl, and that’s why he won’t go.
