Aston Villa go into their clash with Reading looking to significantly improve following their defeat to Cardiff City at the weekend.
Aston Villa go into their clash with Reading on Tuesday looking for a significantly better performance, and result, than what was produced during their most recent outing.
Steve Bruce’s men are still searching for their first win of the new Championship season, and go into their clash with the Royals off the back of an emphatic 3-0 defeat to Cardiff City at the weekend that has left them in the division’s bottom three.

With several injuries amongst the squad, it would appear that Bruce will not be able to make as many changes to the side as he may perhaps like.
The first change we expect involves right-winger Ahmed Elmohamady who had to be substituted just 31 minutes into the defeat at Cardiff. It may not be too great a surprise to see Albert Adomah given a chance on the wing given that he replaced the former Hull man at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Conor Hourihane may perhaps be in line for his first start of the campaign, potentially coming in for Tottenham loanee Josh Onomah.
As mentioned, injuries may prevent Bruce making too many changes, but it is surely also not out of the question to suggest that the likes of Christopher Samba, James Bree and perhaps even Ross McCormack or Rushian Hepburn-Murphy could be in contention to feature in what promises to be a tough game.
Could Conor Hourihane make his first league start of the season?
Here is how we expect the Villans to line up at the Madejski Stadium…
