Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish has not been in great form since leading his side to promotion.

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has told the London Evening Standard that he thinks he is suffering with a similar problem to John Terry, in the sense that it took them a while to get going in a season.

Grealish has arguably not shown his best form at Villa since Dean Smith’s side earned promotion to the Premier League.

The playmaker is yet to contribute with a goal for Villa in the Premier League, and he has struggled on occasion.

Grealish actually had Villa’s best chance to win them the game against West Ham United in their most recent outing.

However, the Villa man fluffed his lines when well placed.

And Grealish thinks that his form will improve as he gets up to speed again.

“I was speaking to John Terry the other day and he said it always took him five or six games to get to the standard he knew he could be at and I think that is the same as me at the moment,” he said.

Grealish is so key to Villa that Dean Smith will hope that the attacking midfielder is proven correct.

Villa will need Grealish to be at his very best if they are to get out of trouble this season.

The claret and blues will also be looking to Grealish to provide a creative spark at the weekend, as they face a tough test against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
