Grealish signed a new four-year contract at Villa Park to extend his stay by a further two years after re-establishing himself as a key player so far this term.
Last season the 20-year-old struggled with form and occasional off-field issues as Villa endured a nightmare season, but he has begun the Championship campaign with two goals in four starts this term.
The midfielder looks set to be a key player for the club this season and for years to come, and he has now been rewarded with an improvement and extension to the contract that he signed two years ago.
Reacting to the news, some of his Villa teammates were quick to show their pleasure at the news that the popular youngster had been awarded fresh terms.
Grealish’s former Villa academy teammate Callum Robinson, now at Preston North End, also voiced his pleasure for his good friend.
Grealish is expected to start a fifth game in a row for Villa when they host Nottinghan Forest on Sunday as domestic action returns following the international break.
