The Ivorian scored the winner against QPR today.
Aston Villa picked up an impressive win in the Championship this afternoon, getting the better of QPR in a 1-0 win at Loftus Road.
There was little doubt over who the main talking point was after the game, as Jonathan Kodjia had a brilliant performance against QPR.
However, it could have been much different.
Jonathan Kodjia (L) celebrates scoring the first goal for Aston Villa
He missed a penalty in the first-half and that may have ended up costing them in what was a tight game.
But the Ivorian scored the winning goal in the game, smashing the ball past Alex Smithies to give Villa all three points and continue their charge back up the Championship.
It was a performance that left two of his team-mates very appreciative on Twitter.
Both Gary Gardner and Jack Grealish sent out these messages on Twitter after the game, congratulating the striker on his match-winning strike:
Kodjia has been a star for Villa this season and they will undoubtedly miss him when he heads to the African Cup of Nations in the new year.
Hopefully the other striking options at Villa can step up in his absence.
