Former Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is attracting interest from a host of Premier League sides this summer, including Aston Villa.
According to Sky Sports News, the 29-year-old former Arsenal midfielder is attracting interest from Aston Villa, Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, having parted company with Liverpool at the end of last season.
According to the report, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has turned down several lucrative opportunities to move abroad as his overwhelming preference is to stay in England.
This could be music to the ears of Premier League sides rumoured to be interested in the midfielder.
The midfielder also feels he has a future at international level, according to the same report from Sky Sports News, with his last appearance for Gareth Southgate’s England side coming in 2019.
Aston Villa target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has a big decision to make
With three clubs vying for Europe this season interested, Oxlade-Chamberlain will have to decide where he believes he will feature the most. At Brighton, under Roberto De Zerbi, may well be a good opportunity for regular minutes.

With Moises Caicedo angling for a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail, a midfield slot may well be vacant that the former Arsenal midfielder could fill.
Unai Emery’s Villa seems a tougher proposition. This is due to John McGinn, Jacob Ramsey and indeed Boubacar Kamara being established in the first team.
The question would be where would the midfielder fit in the Spaniard’s side were he to join the club, so that opportunity may be a backup when the midfielder comes to decide his future.
That leaves Brentford which could be an interesting option for the midfielder.
With Vitaly Janelt and Frank Onyeka starting the majority of Brentford’s games last season, Oxlade Chamberlain may well represent a superb alternative that would supply the pace and energy needed to excel in Thomas Frank’s midfield. Crucially, he would also receive the game time he is looking for in London.
The 29-year-old will have a difficult decision coming up if all three Premier League sides formalise their interest with an offer for the midfielder.
