The 24-year-old has been linked with Aston Villa and Newcastle United, but is he leaning toward the latter?
Speaking to The Irish Independent, Dundalk sensation Daryl Horgan has described Newcastle United as a “massive club”, amid speculation linking him with the Magpies.
The Republic of Ireland man has netted 10 goals, with one of those coming in the recent 2-1 Europa League defeat by Zenit St Petersburg in Russia.
Dundalk clinched a third successive Irish league title this season, with Horgan being at the heart of that success once again and the 24-year-old is now expected to make the move to England shortly.

The Sun reported this week that Newcastle and Aston Villa were among those to have scouted him.
And Horgan admitted to The Irish Independent that it would be difficult to turn down Rafael Benitez if he came knocking for his signature.
Asked about the reported interest from St James’ Park, Horgan said: “I don’t know, really. To be honest with you, I try to stay out of it as much as I possibly can.

“Look, it’s very easy to say you’re interested; it’s very different to put at offer on the table and at the minute, there are no offers on the table.
“I’m a Dundalk player, I’m very happy at Dundalk, but as I said, if an offer does come in from somewhere, I’d have to consider it, especially something like a massive club like Newcastle.”
Joining United would seem like the more attractive at the moment compared with Aston Villa, given that Benitez’s side look very likely to win promotion to the Premier League.
They sit top of the Championship, with an eight-point gap separating them and third-placed Huddersfield, while Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa are five points adrift in the race for a playoff place.
