The club are without a win since Boxing Day and the new signings made by Steve Bruce throughout January have done little to help their cause.
Iceland’s Birkir Bjarnason celebrates after scoring their first goal
One such new signing was Icelandic international Birkir Bjarnason. He has struggled to find his best form since making a move from FC Basel and the Aston Villa fans have been slightly disturbed by his poor form.
After the defeat to Ipswich not many Villa players were ready to front up after the game on social media. However, the Icelandic star was one of them.
He took to Instagram after the game vowing to give it his all to do better for the club:
Aston Villa fans were excited when they signed the Viking from Iceland’s Euro 2016 campaign but they have not seen the type of performances they would have liked from the player since his arrival at Villa Park.
Hopefully he and the rest of his Aston Villa team-mates can improve on their form and fast if the club are to start picking up results yet again.
