Aston Villa midfielder Henri Lansbury has made seven appearances for the Midlands club so far.
Aston Villa new boy Henri Lansbury has told the Birmingham Mail that he was immediately taken aback by the size of Villa Park when he first saw it.
Lansbury left Nottingham Forest to join Villa during the January transfer window.
And the central-midfielder admits that the claret and blues need to improve their home form.
“We have to make this place a fortress,” Lansbury said. “It’s a massive stadium. When I first came here I thought, wow. It’s a fantastic place. Walking down to the Holte End and all the supporters clapping, it’s fantastic.”
Lansbury has walked straight into Villa’s starting line-up since signing up, and looks to have a pivotal part to play in Steve Bruce’s side.
Lansbury has had a difficult time at Villa so far, though, with the Midlands side being very poor.
The 26-year-old had to wait until making his seventh appearance for Villa before picking up his first victory against Derby County last weekend.
Villa ran out 1-0 winners over the Rams, to pick up their first three point haul of 2017.
Villa are next in action against a struggling Bristol City side later this evening.
