Dean Smith and co left it late to claim all three points at Villa Park today.

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has taken to Twitter with a heartfelt message for the Villa Park fans as well as congratulating two of his teammates following the 2-1 win over Brighton.
Things got off to a poor start for Dean Smith’s side as Brighton took the lead through Adam Webster, but both sides were level come the interval as Jack Grealish bundled the ball home from point-blank range on the stroke of half time.
There was drama for both teams as Villa had a Conor Hourihane goal ruled out due to VAR, while Aaron Mooy was sent off for the Seagulls to leave the visitors down to 10 men for almost two thirds of the game.
Just as it seemed like Villa would have to make do with a share of the spoils as the clock headed deep into injury time, Matt Targett scored a dramatic winner to send Villa Park into raptures.

Some fans took the time to respond to the big defender’s comments:
The result lifts the Villans, who were mid-table in the Championship when Smith took over at B6 just over a year ago, up to 11th in the Premier League.
