Jack Grealish has been on the sidelines since Aston Villa’s draw with West Brom in December.

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has all but acknowledged on Twitter that he will return from injury against Stoke City later on this month.
The 23-year-old liked a report on his personal Twitter account, which stated that the Midlands outfit are targetting their clash at the Bet365 Stadium on February 23 as a potential return date for the playmaker.
The report came from the Telegraph, who claim that if he cannot make the Stoke fixture then Villa’s home tie against Frank Lampard’s Derby County on March 2 is a more realistic target.
After the report was written by Midlands journalist John Percy, he posted the report on his personal Twitter account, which was liked by Grealish, as you can see from the screenshot below.

Dean Smith’s side have struggled without their star man in the middle of the park, securing only two wins since he injured his shin against West Brom towards the end of 2018.
In his absence, Smith has played Conor Hourihane alongside John McGinn in the advanced forward role in midfield, with the Glenn Whelan occupying the number six role for the majority of the time.

At this moment in time, Villa are four points outside of the playoff places as their chances of finishing in the top six are decreasing week-by-week.
The Midlands outfit will host third-placed Sheffield United at the weekend, with Chris Wilder’s side hoping to do the double over Villa.
