Michael Beale won’t be rejoining Aston Villa having taken to Twitter to explain his claim that there is ’no chance’ of him taking their job.
Villa were hammered 3-0 at Fulham on Thursday evening and it proved to be a very costly defeat for Steven Gerrard.
The Liverpool legend was given his marching orders by Villa just an hour after full-time, less than a year since arriving from Rangers.
A disappointing start to the season meant Gerrard had to go and Villa are now searching for a new manager once again.

Michael Beale won’t be rejoining Aston Villa
Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel appear to be out of reach and a move for Sporting boss Ruben Amorim seems tough.
Villa will be considering a host of managers and some have wondered whether they will target Michael Beale.
Beale was part of Gerrard’s coaching staff at Rangers having previously crossed paths at Liverpool.
The duo won the Scottish Premiership title together before reuniting at Villa last November.
Sadly for Gerrard, Beale chose to leave Villa last summer and become a manager in his own right, taking over at Queens Park Rangers.
Some wondered whether Gerrard would struggle without his assistant and so it has proved.
Beale has fared so well as QPR boss that he has become in-demand.
Wolverhampton Wanderers made him an offer to become their new manager just days ago, but Beale said no.
That was admirable commitment to QPR just months into the job but could he be tempted by a return to Villa?
In a word, no.
Beale told TalkSPORT on Saturday that there was ‘no chance’ of him becoming Villa boss.
Not only is Beale happy at QPR but he indicated that he has loyalty to friends who have just lost their jobs at Villa.
As if that wasn’t clear enough, Beale took to Twitter on Saturday night to state that he didn’t intend any kind of disrespect towards Villa with that comment.
Beale talked up how great Villa are as a club both in his comments and in his tweet having clearly loved life at Villa Park.
Beale clearly still holds Villa close to his heart but he won’t be heading back as Gerrard’s replacement.
