The 21-year-old academy striker faces 12 weeks on the sidelines after picking up the injury against Plymouth in the Premier League Cup.

Aston Villa striker Harry McKirdy has confirmed that he is set for three months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The 21-year-old, who came through the ranks at Villa’s academy, suffered the blow in last week’s Premier League Cup Group F game against Plymouth Argyle.
Villa’s Under-23s took control of their group with a 1-0 win over the Pilgrims, McKirdy providing the assist by squaring for Jordan Cox to tap in.
However, McKirdy has since taken to Instagram to tell fans that he faces 12 weeks out due to the injury, a further setback for the youngster.
The forward has already spent time on the sidelines this season with a dislocated shoulder which potentially thwarted a run in the first-team squad.
McKirdy suffered the injury as Villa’s reserves lost 3-1 to Manchester United in August, ruling him out for a number of weeks.
Prior to that, former first-team manager Steve Bruce had briefly promoted him to the seniors, with a place on the bench in the 1-0 win at Yeovil in the Carabao Cup.
According to Transfermarkt, McKirdy has made 30 appearances for Villa’s U23s, scoring 10 goals, and has also spent time on loan at Stevenage and Crewe.
