The Red Devils defender has impressed on loan at Villa, who will contest the Championship playoffs.

Manchester United have dropped a big hint over the future of Aston Villa loanee Axel Tuanzebe and it looks as though it lies at Old Trafford rather than Villa Park.
The 21-year-old defender came through the Premier League club’s academy and is highly rated around Carrington but former manager Jose Mourinho twice agreed for him to go out on loan.
Although injuries hampered his first spell at Villa Park, Tuanzebe returned at the start of the current season and he has since made 25 appearances in the Championship, according to Transfermarkt.
The centre-back started the campaign in good form before fracturing his metatarsal in December, but returned from injury to win back his place in the team, and has helped maintain the team’s momentum as they succeeded in sealing a playoff place
Now, Man United head of academy Nicky Butt has admitted that he sees Tuanzebe as a player with a future at the club, a more concrete declaration on top of the Daily Mail report a week ago which said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was being urged by members of the club’s staff to consider him for the first team.

“Axel is a very talented boy, who I do believe is going to have a good career at Manchester United,” Butt told the official Red Devils website.
“There is no point sitting around not playing football and he’s gone to Aston Villa, who are a big, big club. He got injured but is back playing well again now and now he has a few big playoff games coming up.”
Villa face West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion on Saturday before the second leg at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night, with a final against either Leeds United or Derby County awaiting the winners of the derby.
