Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has moved to secure John McGinn’s and John Terry’s futures.

Aston Villa deserve praise for their foresight, after they appear to have moved to secure John Terry and John McGinn’s futures this summer.

Villa have been making moves in the transfer market since their promotion to the Premier League, and it would have been easy to forget about what they already have at Villa Park.

However, the claret and blues have been very smart with their dealings in all areas this summer.

The Daily Mail suggest that they are set to offer McGinn a new contract to fend off interest in the Villa man before it becomes fierce, while Terry has just committed his future.

Villa have now killed off any uncertainty over the duo, before it ever really became an issue.

And even though these moves may not bring any new players to Dean Smith’s side, they rank among the most important that Villa will make all summer.
