Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings hit back at the Bournemouth supporter on social media.

Tyrone Mings has hit back at a Bournemouth fan on Twitter after the defender was criticised for his celebrations in the wake of Aston Villa’s play-off final victory on Monday.
Dean Smith’s men will be playing Premier League football next year after beating Derby County 2-1 at Wembley. Mings missed the final moments of the game due to picking up a late injury, but it is fair to say that few players did more to inspire the Villans’ promotion push.
The defender joined Villa on loan from Bournemouth during the January transfer window. And his form proved crucial as Smith’s men became significantly better at the back and put together the run of form that saw them come from nowhere to win the play-offs.
Unsurprisingly, a number of players were in no mood to bring an early end to their celebrations. And perhaps the best image following Monday’s game was a photo of Mings reportedly at Bournemouth station still in his full kit and with his play-off medal still around his neck.

While most football fans – particularly Villa supporters – had absolutely no problem with the photo as it certainly shows how much promotion meant to Mings, one Cherries fan decided to take exception with the image.
The supporter slammed the defender and suggested that they want to see Mings offloaded this summer. And unsurprisingly, the 26-year-old hit back by explaining that he – like many – had no idea what the problem with the photo was.

Here is the photo that angered the supporter, as well as Mings’ response…
