Wondering how the Aston Villa loanees are getting on? Well wonder no more as HITC catches up with the five players currently away on temporary deals.

In what has been quite the summer for squad overhaul at Aston Villa, there were many outgoings from the Birmingham club as manager Steve Bruce looked to shake things up following a disappointing season in 2016/17.
The likes of Jordan Veretout, Nathan Baker and Carlos Sanchez left Villa Park, while several more departed on loan. Find out how those temporary deals are going below.

Jordan Amavi
Although a loan initially, Marseille signed Amavi with a view to buy so Villa fans may well have seen the left-back in claret and blue for the last time. The Frenchman has played twice for his new side, which included being hauled off at half-time during the 6-1 Ligue 1 defeat to Monaco.
Gary Gardner
Having made just one appearance for the team so far this term in the Carabao Cup, Gardner completed a deadline day switch to fellow second tier outfit Barnsley. The 25-year-old is yet to play for the Tykes due to the international break.

Matija Sarkic
Another deadline day departure was Sarkic, with the goalkeeper having joined Wigan Athletic until January. The 20-year-old is currently behind Sam Johnstone, Jed Steer and Mark Bunn for a place between the sticks under Bruce.
Aaron Tshibola
Having failed to truly assert himself with the Villans following a 2016 switch, Tshibola sought more regular game time at MK Dons on loan. It’s worked, with the 22-year-old having played eight times already this term, scoring once and assisting once.
Kevin Toner
Youth prospect Toner is currently on the fourth loan spell of his career to date having joined Stevenage until the end of the campaign. The centre-back has played three times, helping the League Two side to 1-0 victories over Barnet and Cheltenham Town, but also being on the end of a 6-2 drubbing to Oxford United in the Checkatrade Trophy.
