Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons is said to be on Steve Bruce’s wishlist at Aston Villa.

Villa are said to be looking at the wide-man ahead of the January transfer window, as Bruce looks to upgrade his attacking options.

The signing of Aarons would be a great addition for the claret and blues, but with Villa struggling against Financial Fair Play it is hard to see how they could pull off the transfer.
Bruce has already talked about loans being his main option in January, and the only way Villa could finance a deal for Aarons would surely be to sell a key player.

However, Bruce has already stated that he wants to keep his squad together, as Villa go for promotion, and that makes the deal look totally impossible.
Newcastle are likely to want a considerable fee for Aarons, given his potential, and it may be that Bruce has to wait for a later date before completing the transfer, as it simply looks too problematic to pull off in January.
