The Irishman has not been pleased with the Ivorian striker.
Aston Villa suffered yet another defeat in the Championship at the weekend, losing 1-0 at home to Ipswich Town at Villa Park.
It was a defeat that has left more questions being asked at the club, who have not won a game since Boxing Day.
The poor form has seen manager Steve Bruce come in for plenty of stick. The former Birmingham City manager was never going to have it easy at the club, but the club’s performances on the pitch are the real issue.
Paul McGrath – Aston Villa
His body language has also been an issue for some, who feel he does not look like being overly bothered by the job. Club legend Paul McGrath seems to be on that page. The Irish star has already made his feelings on striker Jonathan Kodjia quite clear on Twitter, but has now done the same regarding Steve Bruce.
He sent out this message, insisting Bruce needs to give more to please the Villa fans:
Sometimes there is no doubt that the gaffer may look disinterested but the reality must be a fear he is starting to runout of ideas at the club.
But if he is to win over the fans, and club legends such as McGrath, he needs to do a lot more than just stand idly by as Aston Villa fail if he is to get any plaudits.
