The American sold the club this summer to the Chinese businessman.
Former Aston Villa manager and player Brian Little has been commenting on the club’s current owner Tony Xia and the man he took over from Randy Lerner.
The Chinese businessman took over ownership at Villa Park from the American in the summer to the pleasure of Villa fans. The Aston Villa faithful had grown weary of Lerner’s leadership at the club and were happy to see the back of him.

Xia, a self-confessed Villa fan, has since plunged money into the club as they look to make an immediate return to the Premier League following last season’s relegation.
Little, who spent his entire playing career and four years as a manager at Aston Villa, told Vital Football this week about Xia’s commitment to the club but he also made it clear he also has the utmost respect for Lerner:
“We have great owner who wants to do well and has the backing of everyone.
“I’ve met Randy on a few occasions and he is really nice fella and I said that before and I will not change my mind on that, but he wanted to sell the club and we have someone who is determined to try and do well, who I wish every success.”
Aston Villa fans will certainly be pleased that Lerner is gone but results on the pitch were not picking up and they recently sacked Roberto Di Matteo – replacing him with Steve Bruce.
The new boss has impressed so far, with Villa undefeated under his tenure.
This weekend Villa take on Blackburn Rovers at Villa Park and fans of the club will be hoping they can pull off another good result under their new manager.
