Aston Villa forward Keinan Davis has taken to Twitter with a seven-word message for the Villa Park fanbase following his first start of the season in the 6-1 thrashing of Crewe Alexandra in the Carabao Cup.

The 21-year-old was impressive against the Railwaymen, boasting incredible ball retention and setting up his teammates multiple times, including one delivery for Anwar El Ghazi which was unfortunately then struck against the post.

Davis also got himself on the scoresheet in the 69th minute, converting Jack Grealish’s low cross from the left to claim his first goal in 19 months, and was one of five scorers on the night along with Ezri Konsa, Conor Hourihane, Frederic Guilbert and Grealish.

Here is what the young striker wrote on social media and some of the response to his comment and picture:

Davis is yet to make a start for Villa in the Premier League this season, but has been deployed off the bench, and given the Villans have a striker shortage at the moment with Jonathan Kodjia out injured and Scott Hogan and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy away on loan, the youngster could well get a lot more game time in the weeks to come.
