Aston Villa are interested in signing Weston McKennie from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
What’s the story?
The Sun have reported that Villa are planning to make a bid for Juventus midfielder McKennie when the transfer window opens in January.
Juventus made the USA international available late in the summer transfer window.
However, no club were willing to sign the youngster on loan with an obligation to make the deal permanent next summer.
Villa are keen on the 23-year-old former Schalke star and will try for him in January, according to the report.
Would Weston McKennie make Aston Villa better?
McKennie is a very talented and promising young midfielder who joined Juventus only last summer.

The 23-year-old made 18 starts and 16 substitute appearances in Serie A last season.
The midfielder scored five goals and gave two assists in those games.
The youngster also scored one goal in seven Champions League matches last season.
McKennie himself recently posted on Instagram that Portugal international forward Cristiano Ronaldo took him under his wing at Juventus before he moved to Manchester United this summer.
The 23-year-old will have surely learned a lot from the former Real Madrid star last season, and that is bound to help him in his career.
Villa have a good midfield department, but a player of McKennie’s quality and potential would only help Dean Smith’s side.
