Aston Villa are eyeing a shock raid for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto amid claims Arsenal are interested.
Arsenal scouted Pedro Neto on Saturday but they could now face competition from Unai Emery and Aston Villa.
That is according to a report from 90Min, who claim that Arsenal are very keen on signing Neto.
The Portuguese wide man has battled back from a number of injury problems to find his best form again.
Neto has been sensational of late with one goal and four assists in seven Premier League outings, leading to boss Gary O’Neil calling him ‘incredible’.
Now attracting major interest, the 23-year-old could be the source of bids during the January transfer window.

Arsenal scout Pedro Neto amid Aston Villa interest
It’s now suggested that Arsenal have been keeping close tabs on Neto ahead of a possible move for the winger.
Mikel Arteta and Edu have admired Neto for a long time now and Arsenal could launch a January pursuit.
Arsenal are understood to have scouted Neto on Saturday afternoon as he helped Wolves beat Manchester City 2-1.
Neto again showed his quality in the final third, creating the opening goal as his driving run ended with Ruben Dias scoring an own goal.
Arsenal aren’t alone in chasing Neto though.
The report suggests that Atletico Madrid and the Saudi Pro League are interested in signing Neto, as are Aston Villa.
Unai Emery may dream of seeing Neto and Moussa Diaby combine to support Ollie Watkins in the final third but a deal won’t come easily…

Aston Villa move for Neto would be cheeky
The Villa v Wolves rivalry seems to have ramped up in recent times.
Neither are the main squeeze; Villa’s big rivals are Birmingham and Wolves have a fierce rivalry with West Bromwich Albion.
Yet with Birmingham and West Brom stuck in the Championship, Villa and Wolves have been left to form a stronger rivalry in recent years.
You can be absolutely sure that Wolves won’t want to lose their star man to Villa, especially in the middle of the season.
Villa will be well aware of that but may still launch a cheeky move for Neto in the hope of raiding their rivals and leaving Arsenal gutted in the process.
