The Scotland international thinks potential suitors could be interested in Grealish and it’s up to Villa to try and keep hold of him.

Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn has spoken highly of teammate Jack Grealish following a superb season for the Villans boyhood fan in which the club triumphantly returned to the Premier League (Sky Sports News).
However, the 24-year-old also has some words of warning for the club, suggesting that there will be interest from potential suitors regarding the Solihull star’s signature and that the onus is on Villa to try and retain his services.
In a team full of fan favourites, Grealish is undoubtedly one of the players most loved by the B6 supporters, who came through the ranks at the club he supports and, aged just 23, captained the team back into the top flight via the Championship playoffs.
The former England Under-21 international has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace this season (Daily Mail), though as McGinn has noted, the fact they will be in the top flight next season is a positive in Villa’s hopes of keeping Grealish.

Nonetheless, the Scot is taking nothing for granted regarding Grealish’s future and has stressed that Villa must do what they can in case bids do come in for the attacking midfielder, who is contracted to the club until 2023 (Transfermarkt).
“He’s a brilliant boy, a Villa fan and I’m sure the attraction of playing for his team in the Premier League hopefully manages to keep him,” McGinn told Sky Sports News. “He’s a top player and a great leader for us but I’m sure there’ll be interest and it’s up to the club to try and keep hold of him.”
According to Transfermarkt, Grealish has made 145 appearances for Villa’s senior team, scoring 15 goals and registering 23 assists.
