The Villa captain scored in the pre-season friendly between the Premier League new-boys and the MLS side.

Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter to give his thoughts on Aston Villa’s first pre-season outing of 2019-20 as Dean Smith’s charges ran out 3-0 winners over Minnesota United in the United States.
The Villans captain opened the scoring at the Allianz Field with a low curling effort midway through the first half, while Henri Lansbury added a second eight minutes from time, sweeping home an assist from new signing Frederic Guilbert.
Birkir Bjarnason then made it three just before the full-time whistle after nodding home an Andre Green cross for a comprehensive victory over their Major League Soccer hosts and an overall fruitful pre-season training camp in America.
Here is what Grealish wrote on Twitter following the win, as well as some of the reaction from the Claret and Blue faithful:
Villa fly home on Thursday before travelling to Shrewsbury Town on Sunday, and friendlies against Walsall, Charlton Athletic and RB Leipzig (official Villa website) await the Championship playoff victors before their Premier League season gets under way away at Tottenham Hotspur.
