The Villans captain has been instrumental in bringing Premier League football back to Villa Park.
A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the club sharing an eye-opening statistic about Villans captain Jack Grealish which highlights his quality.
The Villa Park side have not had the best start to their Premier League campaign – understandable as they’ve just been promoted, they’ve made widescale changes in personnel, and there’s often going to be a bit of acclimatisation needed.
Grealish, meanwhile, has been lumbered with an unwanted and pointless statistic about consecutive top-flight defeats in the claret and blue which fails to take into account how much the club and team have changed in the last three years.
As Dean Smith’s charges look ahead to their Premier League encounter with Everton on Friday night, Villa’s Twitter channel pointed out that Grealish has made the second highest number of key passes in the top flight this season (eight), with only Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne higher than him on 12.

The return of Grealish – valued at £22.5million by Transfermarkt – from injury back in March was a huge catalyst for Villa’s resurgence in the Championship, embarking on a winning run which elevated the team from mid-table into the top six, before successfully completing the job of promotion via the playoffs.
