Unai Emery’s Aston Villa will reportedly have to pay a lot of money to sign Nottingham Forest winger Brennan Johnson.
According to 90min journalist Graeme Bailey on Twitter, Aston Villa are interested in signing Brennan Johnson from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.
However, it is not going to be easy for Villa to secure the services of the Wales international winger.
According to Bailey, Forest are looking for over £50 million in transfer fees for the 22-year-old.
The Daily Mail has reported that Johnson is “keen” to move to Villa this summer.
The report has claimed interest from Brentford in the Wales international as well.
Aston Villa should not pay £50m+ for Nottingham Forest winger Brennan Johnson
We do not think that Aston Villa should pay over £50 million for Brennan Johnson in the summer transfer window.
The Nottingham Forest winger has simply not done enough to merit such a huge price tag.

In 38 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, the Wales international has scored eight goals and given three assists.
True, Johnson was very good for Forest last season and impressed former Manchester United star Roy Keane among others.
However, paying over £50 million for a 22-year-old who has had just one (good) season in the Premier League is too much.
Villa need to be careful with their money and not spend it all on young players with promise.
If the Villans are to build on their success of last season and regularly challenge for the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League places in the Premier League table, then they need to sign proven and established players, especially for over £50 million.
