Aston Villa have been given a major boost on the fitness front, with Andre Green and John Terry both back in training.

Talented winger Green hasn’t played since September because of a hamstring injury but is now closing in on a return, as reported by the club’s official website.

Green isn’t quite yet ready to play again but is making good progress and should be back soon.

John Terry of Aston Villa looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Preston North End and Aston Villa at Deepdale on November 1, 2017 in Preston, England.

Meanwhile, experienced defender Terry is likely to be back available within the next fortnight.

The former Chelsea player has missed the club’s last six league games but is eager to return to action.

Villa manager Steve Bruce will be delighted that Green and Terry will soon be able to further bolster an already strong squad as the club look to secure promotion to the Premier League.

Although Villa currently occupy a play-off spot as they are in fifth place in the Championship, their recent form has been a little concerning as they have taken just two points out of a possible nine.

Bruce will be determined for his side to bounce back and take all three points tomorrow evening when they host fellow play-off hopefuls Sheffield United.
