Villa midfielder Lansbury is struggling to overcome a long-term hamstring injury.

Henri Lansbury has vented his frustration with constant injuries on his Instagram story as the Aston Villa midfielder struggles to overcome a hamstring injury he suffered in January.
The 28-year-old midfielder has managed just three appearances all season for Championship side Villa, appearing only twice under manager Dean Smith since he replaced Steve Bruce at the helm.
The Arsenal academy product suffered injuries in both of his outings under Smith, coming off just eight minutes after being subbed on in the win over second-city rivals Birmingham City with a hamstring problem.
Two months on, he was subbed on for the last 30 minutes of the FA Cup defeat to Swansea City, but picked up another hamstring injury and has been sidelined since. He underlined his anger to Villa fans over his constant hamstring woes.

The midfielder has struggled to impress since leaving Nottingham Forest for Villa, managing just 33 appearances in all competitions since joining the club more than two years ago in January 2017.
It remains to be seen if Lansbury will return to play a part in Villa’s push for the top six of the Championship, but it seems unlikely that he is to return in the near future as Smith’s side go up against Sheffield United on Friday night.
