Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has come under serious pressure at Villa Park in recent times.

Bringing back John Terry should hand Steve Bruce some much needed praise from Aston Villa fans.

Bruce has come under pressure from the Villa Park crowd, who feel that their side is underperforming.

Villa have lost to Burton Albion and Sheffield United in their last two matches, and the calls for Bruce to be sacked are growing louder.

But, according to the Daily Express, Villa are close to bringing back Terry, and that will surely earn Bruce some praise.

Bruce was a key factor in bringing Terry to Villa in the first place last season, with the centre-back going on record to suggest how influential the claret and blues boss had been to bring him to the Midlands club.

And if Bruce can repeat the trick again, then it would be a positive move for Villa.

The Villans have not looked anywhere near as solid as they did last season, without Terry in their defence, and the veteran’s return would surely be celebrated by all around Villa Park, if he does come back.
