Aston Villa could need a striker in January, and supporters want Liverpool’s Danny Ings to sign.

Danny Ings of Burnley gives the thunbs up after the Barclays Premier League match between Burnley and Stoke City at Turf Moor on May 16, 2015 in Burnley, England.

Aston Villa fans have urged Steve Bruce to make a move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.

Villa’s options up-front look short, following an injury to Jonathan Kodjia over the international break.

Kodjia is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, with Keinan Davis currently the claret and blues’ only fit and available senior forward.

Villa do have other strikers in their squad but Scott Hogan and Gabriel Agbonlahor are out injured, while Ross McCormack is currently out on loan.

Bruce is now expected to be active in the January transfer window, as he looks to strengthen Villa’s forward ranks.

And Villa fans think that Liverpool forward Ings is the best available option for them.

Ings has struggled with injury throughout recent times, but is back and fit again now.

Ings has scored prolifically for Liverpool’s development side recently, but appears to have little chance of breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team in the immediate future.

Villa are currently in fourth place in the Championship table, and will hope that their current lack of forward options does not derail their promotion push.
