Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley is said to be attracting the attention of Aston Villa.
Aston Villa fans appear to be of the opinion that they want Joe Ledley over Glenn Whelan.
Villa initially moved for Stoke City midfielder Whelan, but a disagreement over a fee for the Republic of Ireland international appears to have created a stumbling block in the deal (The Sun).

Steve Bruce’s side are now being linked with Ledley (The Sun), who is set to become a free agent when his contract at Crystal Palace expires at the end of the month.
And Villa fans appear to be far more enthused about the prospect of Ledley filling a place in their midfield, than they were about the Whelan rumours.
Villa face a sizeable amount of competition for Ledley’s signature, as the midfielder could be a bargain buy this summer.
The Welsh international may have lost his place in Palace’s first-team, but his energy and commitment are desirable qualities for a number of teams.

If Ledley does move to Villa he could become Bruce’s first signing of the summer.
The claret and blues are yet to bring in any new players, but they are expected to be active before the close of the transfer window.
