Aston Villa are set to take on Reading in Championship action later this evening.

Aston Villa fans want both Alan Hutton and Henri Lansbury dropped for their match against Reading later this evening.

Villa have endured a disastrous start to the campaign, after losing 3-0 to Cardiff City in their last match.

The claret and blues have slated their side for their performance against the Welsh side, but it is Lansbury and Hutton who have come in for the most criticism.

The Villa pair both badly struggled against Cardiff, and have not shown their top form in some time.

Hutton has not proven to be a better option than the other right-backs in Bruce’s squad, while Lansbury has struggled since signing for Villa from Nottingham Forest.

And Villa fans have lost patience with the pair, with calls for Bruce to drop them both growing louder.

Villa are under huge pressure to win against Reading later this evening, otherwise the pressure will only be ramped up further on Bruce.

The Midlands side went into the campaign as one of the favourites for promotion, but will require a huge improvement if they are to be promoted.
